FW17 Trends: Checkmate.
I know you're probably all, "Plaid? For fall? Groundbreaking." right now, but hear me out. There's something about the weather starting to change that has me wanting to build up my checked flannel collection, and it turns out a lot of menswear designers agree. Plaid is a little retro, a little punk, a little preppy, a little skate kid cool; it's everything. What I'm saying is anyone can rock it in their own way and easily add it into their wardrobe. Throw a leather/suede jacket or trench coat over it and get tf out of the house cause you're good to go. And if you're feeling extra into it, opt for outerwear or shoes and really send it home. Peep the moodboard below for style inspo and my picks from Mr. Porter to rock this trend.
What it's about: Keeping it simple and picking 2-3 core check patterns for fall, casually going from prep to punk all in one piece.
