FW15 Trends: Utility Kid.
Life has no chill right now. Someone asked me the other day what I was doing and I just looked at them and said, "THE MOST." They didn't think that was funny, but did I have time to care? No. I was rushing to make a haircut and keep things looking fresh, but the wind was also doing the most and fucking all my shit up. My nose was running, my chill was legit getting cold, and my lips felt like they'd been the lab subject of a new kind of sandpaper. Long story short, I NEEDED THINGS. This is why rocking coats with big ass pockets comes in handy. Wadded up tissue? Left pocket. Gloves? Too soon. Chapstick? Inside right. Airplane bottles? Just kidding, but you know you've got room for that shit if you're playing like a utility kid. All I'm saying is the trains be slow and the times be hard. Utilize those compartments, bro.
What it's about: Think clothing with utility: external pockets, zipped compartments, rain-resistant materials. Wear it to run in the rain for a coffee in Soho. This is where you try bolder colors like orange, our comeback kid of the moment.
Key designers: Kenzo, Opening Ceremony.
