Final NYFWM SS17 recap featuring N-P-Elliott and Kenneth Ning.
I'm wrapping up this season of NYFWM with two designers who are really all about the details. The pockets, the buttons, and the unfinished edges of Kenneth Ning, alongside the velvet, the silk, and the snaps of N-p-Elliott. I really like this move-on from last season's Kenneth Ning show with an army influence using traditional menswear stripes and materials. And then there's those stitched together cut-and-sew pieces (below, third row left) that are killer. N-p-Elliott was giving me total 70s vibes with that color palette but also like bejewel-toned streetwear in crazy materials, which was both refreshing and kind of like a must-have moment for me. The burgundy velvet tank with pajama stripe short is the coveted look in this collection IMO (below, fourth row), but really I'd take it all.
